I attended the Southport Plein Air festival for the first time in April of 2024 and had a marvelous time. This painting was the very last one I created, right before all the artists had to set up in a nearby park to sell the works they created during the week. I actually added more detail once I got home!

I had fun painting this one directly sitting in a planter near the front door of Bull Frog Corner, an iconic shop on Howe Street in the downtown area. I met a grandfather whose wife and daughter were shopping inside. He told me that his granddaughter must visit the store every time she comes to see them. She calls the store "Froggy Corner, hence the name of the piece.

Painted in watercolors on 100% cotton rag cold pressed paper.
